-La mariquita está allí. The ladybug is over there. We can also say allá.
-La mariquita está encima de la piedra. La mariquita está sobre la piedra. La mariquita está en la piedra. The ladybug is on the stone.
-La mariquita está bajo la piedra. La mariquita está debajo de la piedra. The ladybug is under the stone.
-La mariquita está delante de la piedra. The ladybug is in front of the stone.
-La mariquita está detrás de la piedra. The ladybug is behind the stone.
-La mariquita está al lado de la piedra. La mariquita está junto a la piedra. The ladybug is next to the stone.
-La mariquita está a la derecha de la piedra. The ladybug is on the right side of the stone.
-La mariquita está a la izquierda de la piedra. The ladybug is on the left side of the stone.
-La mariquita está enfrente de la piedra. La mariquita está frente a la piedra. The ladybug is facing the stone.
-Las mariquitas están alrededor de la piedra. The ladybugs are around the stone.
-La mariquita está entre las piedras. The ladybug is between the stones.
-La mariquita está dentro del árbol. La mariquita está en el árbol. The ladybug is inside the tree.
-La mariquita está fuera del árbol. The ladybug is outside the tree.
-La mariquita está cerca del árbol. The ladybug is near the tree.
-La mariquita está lejos del árbol. The ladybug is far from the tree.
Remember these rules:
-We don’t put “de” after “en, sobre, entre, bajo”. But we put “de” in the rest of the cases, except in “junto a” and “frente a”.
-To speak faster, de+el becomes del and a+el becomes al. Therefore, we say “lejos del árbol”, and not “lejos de el árbol”.
-Whenever you say where is something or somebody, you must use “está”, never “es”.
