Terms & Conditions

1- Definitions
1.1 “Spanish for London” provides Spanish language lessons / classes from “One-to-One” to “Group Lessons”
1.2 “The Student” or “Client” is the person/s who booked the lessons / classes.
1.3 “The Tutor”/ “The Teacher” is the person from “Spanish for London” who teaches the Student.
1.4 ‘A Lesson” or “a Class” is given by The Tutor and varies according to The Client and Spanish for London agreement.
1.5 “A Course” is formed by one or several Lessons.
1.6 “Force majeure” is any unforeseeable circumstance that prevent “Spanish for London” from fulfilling its obligations as normal.

2- Acceptance and acknowledgments
2.1 “Spanish for London” and “The Student” or “Client” are regulated by these terms and conditions.
2.2 “The Client” is responsible of knowing and understanding the present “Terms and Conditions” and any time that “The Client” interacts by any means with “Spanish for London” these are considered understood and accepted.
2.3 Any breach of any clause in these terms and conditions by “The Client” could result in the termination of the tutoring service with no refund.

3- Our duties, commitments and rights
3.1 “Spanish for London” provides quality private or group Spanish lessons as described in our website, for Students from all ages and levels.
3.2 “Spanish for London” is committed to provide the best teaching experience to our Students once a lesson or a group of lessons have been purchased.
3.3 “Spanish for London” reserves the right to accept or decline the demand of services.
3.4 “Spanish for London” reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

4- “The Client” obligations and rights
4.1 “The Client” understands and agrees to the present Terms and Conditions.
4.2 “The Client” has the right to cancel or reschedule a class according to clause 5.1.
4.3 “The Client” has no right to modify these Terms and Conditions.

5- Cancellation and Reschedule
5.1 “The Client” must notify any cancellation and reschedule to “Spanish for London” via email not less than 48 hours before the scheduled class.
5.2 If “The Client” fails to notify according to clause 5.1 and does not attend to the previously scheduled lesson, the class will be charged in full. Only medical reasons along with documents to prove them will consider a cancellation and reschedule as made in terms of clause 5.1.
5.3 If “The Client” is late for a class the lesson will end at the original scheduled time unless “The Tutor” according to his/her own schedule and possibilities can make the exception to recover partially or totally the late minutes. In any case the class will be charged in full.
5.4 If “The Client” frequently cancels and reschedules lessons beyond any reasonable explanation, this may cause the termination of this contract.
5.5 If “The Tutor” has to cancel and reschedule a class, “The Student” will be notified in advance unless unexpected medical reasons and will be offered a reschedule at “The Client” and “The Tutor” convenience.
5.6 If “The Tutor” is late for a lesson, “The Client” may be offered to recover the lost time at the end of that lesson according to the Tutor’s availability or at the time agreed by “The Client” and “The Tutor”.
5.7 A paid bundle of 10 lessons must be taken in a period no longer than 11 weeks, and a paid bundle of 20 lessons must be taken in a period no longer than 22 weeks. After those periods, any not taken lesson will be considered expired and not refundable. Only medical reasons along with documents to prove them will be the exception to this clause.

6- Prices and Payments
6.1 Prices are published in the “Spanish for London” website www.spanishforlondon.com, and may be modified at any time without any warning.
6.2 Any new purchase of a lesson, bundle of lessons or a course will be charged at the published price on the day of purchase.
6.3 All lessons must be paid in advance prior to its scheduled time. All group of lessons or course must be paid in full in advance prior to the scheduled time for the first lesson of the group or course to take place.
6.4 No lesson will be confirmed or will take place without previous payment as described on clause 6.3.
6.5 Paid Lessons, classes, bundles and Courses are not refundable.

7- From One-to-One to Group Lessons
7.1 There are different options of classes from One-to-One to Group Lessons detailed in the “Spanish for London” website. Seek advice by contacting us to learn which one is right for you.
7.2 One-to-One lessons are between “The Client” and “The Tutor”.
7.3 Group Lessons are between a Group of Students/Clients and “The Tutor”.
7.4 Group Lessons at the “Spanish for London” venue in Ealing Broadway will take place if a minimum of 3 Students book and pay for the course at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the lessons. On average a maximum number of Students for Group Lessons are 5 for children courses and 6-8 for adult courses.
7.5 If the number of students does not reach the minimum of 3, the Course will be cancelled and rescheduled. “The Students” who booked and paid for the course will have the choice to reschedule, cancel with a full refund or book another available lessons option.
7.6 “The Client” is responsible for his/her attendance and agrees that a Group Lesson or a course cannot be cancelled and rescheduled or transferred to another type of lessons and it is not refundable.
7.7 Spanish for London has the materials for the classes, so “The Client” does not need to buy any material unless otherwise indicated.
7.8 If a book is required for any particular course, it is “The Client” responsibility to buy it from his/her bookseller.

8- Bank Holidays
8.1 “Spanish for London” does not encourage private lessons to take place on a Bank Holiday.
8.2 If “The Client” asks in writing via email for a private lesson to take place on a Bank Holiday and this is agreed with “Spanish for London”, the Lesson may take place.
8.3 A Group Lesson will not take place on a Bank Holiday and it will resume on the next scheduled lesson for the group.

9- Minors and vulnerable persons
9.1 ‘Spanish for London” is committed to provide a safe environment for the classes. Students under the age of 18 can be accompanied by their parent or guardian at their own choice while receiving a lesson.

10- Notices
10.1 Notices under this agreement may be given by email.

11- Liability
11.1 “Spanish for London” prides about its effort to provide “The Student” with the best quality teaching experience, and is not responsible for any exam score or grade achieved by “The Student” and its consequences.
11.2 “Spanish for London” is not liable for any damage, loss or injury that may arise when tutoring a Student.

12- Data Protection and Privacy Policy
12.1 “Spanish for London” will use the information provided for “The Client” for the purposes of administration and provision of lessons to “The Client”.
12.2 “Spanish for London” and “The Client” agree not to disclose any confidential information from each other during and after the termination of this agreement.
12.3 “Spanish for London” do not sell or share “Client” information to any third party.

13- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
13.1 “Spanish for London” and “The Client” agree with these Terms and Conditions and that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts thereof.
